Looking for 928 mechanic in NC was created by kid99
I had a perfectly running 1980 928 and one day the car wouldn't start.
I've had it at my local Porsche dealer for almost 3 months now and it's still not running. I think it's time to move on to a 928 specialist but can't seem to find anyone when doing a Google search and was hoping someone here knew of someone.
I live in eastern NC but location is not an issue.
Thanks in advance for any help!

How Far East are you? Some good ones in Raleigh and Charlotte, and several of us owners in N and S Carolina are pretty handy as well...:

Thanks for the response!
I live in Wilmington and I've found plenty of Porsche and 'Euro specialist' shops but none that instill confidence w/ a 928.
I've read some good things about Eurowerks in Monroe and Digital Chassis in Durham but the reviews were several years old and was hoping to get some recent recommendations for mechanics or shops people have dealt with.

Monroe might be a good bet. I was told of a very good one in Raleigh, but can’t remember his name. An 80 shouldn’t be too hard to get figured out. I have a 78,79, and 82...all which were non runners that I was able to get going...perhaps this summer you can tow it up to my place and we can figure it out. We have a good group of minds in our little Carolina gang.

Sorry for the delay, but my computer blocked me out (seriously..I used to love Apple....)
Thanks for the offer- I would have loved to figured it out with you guys but I finally got it sorted at Digital Chassis. Local Porsche dealer had it for 4 months and couldn't get it going but Brad at Digital Chassis figured it out in a few days.. I'll never take my car anywhere else.
Thanks again for the help!
