Greetings, Club members!
Welcome to the inaugural issue of your Club's magazine, 928 Journal. This publication comes to you in two ways:
in print, using good old ink on paper and the good old Postal Service to get it to you; the print edition is currently scheduled as a quarterly publication, but will become more frequent as the Club grows
on the World Wide Web, visible any time through your browser right here at the Club's members-only Web site (www.928OC.org); the Web edition carries more stuff than fits in the print edition and is updated more frequently (a good thing, as the Club's members have already submitted quite a lot of good material, more than fits this first issue)
In this magazine, we aim to bring you every kind of news or information we think may be of interest to the wide range of 928 owners. Some of you like to tour, others to race. Some do all the work on your own car, others do none. Some always want more performance or style, others find the cars perfect as they were made.
Each of you has made an investment, in time and personal resolve as well as money, in the car Porsche intended to be its flagship, that many regard as the best all-purpose performance car ever made, and that much of the automotive world seems to have forgotten.
The 928 Owners Club is here to unite and support the 928 community, and 928 Journal is your Club's medium for news and information. Many of your fellow members have contributed to this issue (apart from the listed authors, these include Dana Labat, who did the terrific 928 Journal logo, and Del Lisk, Alan Ng, and Marc White, who made the printing and mailing of the paper edition happen) and we present it to you with pride.
