Suggestions - Spider Emblem attach

Hey guys and gals,

I am finally getting the Shark back from the engine pull on Monday. I have a brand new metal Porsche badge to affix to the Spider. The Spider is powder coated so it is smooth. I have to cut off the tines on the back of the emblem (hood emblem) then glue, epoxy it to the nicely smooth finish of the Spider main body.

So - what to use?
JB Weld
Gorilla Glue
Adhesive made for auto/marine
Adhesive made for hi-temp
Super Glue Gel
Hi-temp Silicone sealant (ATV)
etc.
And should I seal the edges as well with something clear? or just leave it if there is a tiny gap? I do not want it to look goopy.

What have you had success with or summize is the correct thing to use? I assume it is never coming off unless it is re-powder coated, but I would not want to tear up the emblem or body trying to get it off. On the other hand I do not want to open the hood one day and see it gone!

The thing that worries me is the smoothness of the Spider body and the relative un-stickyness of the back of the emblem since it is some kind of pot metal.

Any ideas before Tuesday???? thanks

I used windshield urethane once. I was able to get the emblem on flush with little cleanup effort required. I just wiped off the unwanted urethane with lacquer thinner on a rag while it was still wet. It would be a major PITA to remove now, but it could be done with a putty knife affixed to an air hammer. If one thing is for sure it's that it won't be coming off by surprise.

used simple 30min epoxy from the auto parts store. works GREAT

Ok, so it looks like I am overthinking this then huh? Looks like lots of things work fine.

I use an automotive contact cement for most stick on items. talk to your auto parts place.
