For those who are familiar with the Porsche 928, the idea of an engine swap is not an unheard-of proposition. Many of these famously finicky sports cars had their hearts ripped out and replaced with small block V8's when their values were at their lowest, much to the dismay of modern collectors.

This engine-swapped 928 might also get a pass from the Porsche purists, however, as it features something a bit more exotic under the hood: the car’s original V8 has been replaced by a Boeing T50 Turboshaft engine yanked out of a helicopter.

Believe it or not, this isn’t the first time that a jet-powered 928 has appeared online. Long-time Porsche sleuths may be familiar with a red example that made the rounds on the Rennlist forum all the way back in 2008. That machine appeared to feature a similar setup, but featured a red paint scheme and a single hood-exit exhaust.
