Has anyone ever towed a 928 with a tow dolly?

I haven't Oscar.
Dose it say anything about it in the manual?

I am only guessing that it would be ok to back it onto a tow-dolly and tow it backwards with the front wheels steering locked and, (tied, as required by some laws)

Have to tow it about 60 miles, having trouble finding a trailer that is low enough. Worried about backwards might drag on my new spoiler. Checked with wrecker service they want $500.00. Could have gotton a 928 I was looking at in California brought here for $675.00. Life is strange.

I used U-hauls low trailer when I brought mine home.
I had to use 2 2x10 planks placed half way down the trailer ramps.

The boards are a must up front as well as my spoiler hooked on the front of the trailer.

Asking for trouble with a Dolly... if it is a 5spd I *think* you can dolly with rear wheels on the ground, but you can't do that with the auto...

Better off getting a U-haul trailer!

U-Haul car transporter is the only way to go. Load it as Brad suggests with additional lumber to make thee angle less, or park on a big slope, front of transporter facing up hill, so the ramp is almost level!
And ( like Brad says) watch out for the spoiler getting hooked up on front lip of transporter. I moved my daughters car on a U-Haul transporter, and it moved in transit and the front of the spoiler got locked over the front lip of the transporter!
Yes, you can unlock it - just needs a jack or 2 to lift the front!
