Hi Robert,
If you email me your VIN number I can tell you what options your car came with.
It will save you $100 unless you would like to have the certificate. Be aware that sometimes the certificate will not inlude all the options due to clerical errors in records.

Side Protection Moldings are covered by Option Code M418.
M498 allowed for model designation to be deleted on the rear.

In addition to 498, without rear model designation, there were 470, without front and rear spoiler, 564, without airbag, and 576 without rear fog lamp. I can't find any other codes that start with "without." I don't think the word "delete" was actually ever used in the option codes.

Remember that an option code may group several individual options. For example, the country code will change numerous things, such as lighting options, cooling options, safety options, etc.

I also think that Porsche would do individual customizing that did not have a standard option code - the 928 could be pretty much custom built. All it took was time, money, and determination from the buyer...

Thanks all for once again decreasing the amount of brain space left for things other than 928. The more I read and listen the less room there is for life to get in and mess up my day!!! One reason for my involvement with the 928 is to facilitate an escape from Life even if just for a moment...

Keep hammering at it, Robert. Pretty soon you may find yourself like me and many of us involved with the 928 who are occasionally troubled in our thought processes with silly stuff from our ordinary lives or our regular professions.
