I recently scored a big group of magazines/books with 928 articles in them. I started ripping them out of the magazines so they can be scanned easily. I'm trashing the rest of the useless magazines! There were some nice pics in the hardback book too that I pulled out to pin to my office wall. ;)

Outstanding post! That article simply points out what passed for a performance car in 1983. They had to contend with government pollution requirements, and couldn't make the power with the rudimental fuel injection electronics available then.

Think about it: A Ferrari that couldn't break the 15 second barrier in a quarter mile? That performance is about the SAME as a 2013 VW CC four-door coupe.

A 3300 pound car with a 2.0 liter turbo four cylinder engine....
