Hey all, relative to my engine pull this weekend, I want to clean and coat the cam towers with a clear coat. I hear Por 15 is the stuff to use, but I wonder if anyone else found anything locally so I would not have to order online. I am just going to clean them and coat them with a clear coat.
If Por 15 is the concensus I want to get it ordered ASAP of course.

Thanks for any recommendations!

I have no experience with clear coat on an engine, but I have seen how amazing Por 15 is on chassis parts. I've seen it applied with a brush to a '56 Chevy truck frame, and it cures as flat and shiny as you could want. It is very tough, and very good looking. The same guy brush painted an assembled small block Chevy for an airboat with a flat gray, something like a header paint. I am pretty sure it was Por 15, and it turned out really nice. I would bet anything from Por 15 is excellent.
