A local guy in Toronto is parting out a 928 - which is rare here. I'm so used to buying parts from the States (10x the number of cars and people). So I contacted him, but he's about to sell the remaining hulk tomorrow - one less S4 on the road - :-(

Unfortunately I'm laid up today with a cold. Oh well...

Maybe the Toronto OC group should group buy a wreck?

Good morning all.

Sorry to hear you are sick Martin.
I was up late trying to keep my garage warm. I have in-floor heating and the instant-on-heater only stays on for 3 -4 min if you start it manually.

Plumber coming today so I took another day off :)

Going to post a picture with my good morning post and see if you guys will also.

Have a great 928 day

Thanks Brad. There's a limit to the 'resting in bed' bit. Here's the result: forums.928oc.org/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=3060&postcount=18 ;)

You want me to use up my measly file allowance on a picture of a transverse strut (#20 here : 928 504 061 02) Brad? :)

Stan,

I am not sure I just notice when I post a pic I am getting close to or maybe just beyond half of my allowable memory for the forum. I have posted quite a few pics, but not all that many I didn't think. I suspect when someone reaches their limit you will hear about it! ;)

The current limit by user is 10MB for all files. Since uncompressed most cameras now produce images of 2-4MB this is not much for today's World. Also, the maximum individual file size is 19.5kb, except for two formats where it is 97.7kb - small in either case.

Rennlist is running maximum file sizes of 146.9kb and no stated user total file allowance.

Putting up a 2-4mb photo is kind of silly, considering the quality that monitors can display, or even the lower quality that can be printed. I would suggest you resize the photos first, anything bigger than 800px wide by 600px high is likely to be excessive for most users.

Unfortunately the space does not to be limited as the disk available is not unlimited.

I always resize to 800 wide. That seems to be a decent size for online. Still we run out of space pretty fast it seems. Totally understand that space on the server is not unlimited...

I use Photo Bucket. Its Free. I get better picture size when displaying the links here then If I upload a picture.
ALSO, then I only have to upload a picture once and can just post a link with at the end

so this
i103.photobucket.com/albums/m158/bwmac/B...0Porsche/Photo68.jpg

plus this

[img] [/img]

equal this

[IMG]http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m158/bwmac/Brads%20Porsche/Photo68.jpg[/IMG]

I wasn't suggesting I do that Stan - in fact since I work in software I know how to crop or use alternate hosts. It is more typical of modern software (which this platform is not) to allow any user to upload any size of picture, and then re-size and reformat as required on the server side for optimal presentation and storage.

I use Photobucket as well. It's easy to use and it's free. You can't beat that.
