Well, even though it is less than 20 degrees this AM, I thought I would try a few minor things this AM in the Garage.

- Replaced door vents on both sides - actually was easier to pull the old ones out that I imagined....new ones just popped in. Cleaned up the feeder tube etc while I was there.
- Fixed (at least for now) the rear wiper. Seems that it was not lining up with the hole or something on the motor, both pieces worked fine independently. So I just juggled and played and lined up etc. and now it works, so you know how that goes, next time I open the hatch it will probably break again. HA But for now I am counting it as a success anyway.
- Fixed my seat back switch on driver's seat. Apparently a bad switch, didn't have any switch cleaner handy so I swapped it with the center, seat up/down switch....voila the seat back motor sprang to life. I keep the seat as low as possible anyway due to headroom(Sunroof model). The switch from the back does not fit as well into the center, although they seem interchangeable. But I will replace it later. Speaking of that, it appears that the console switches are the same as the ones on the seat. If so when I replace the console ones with the LED kit, I will have some extra switches to use. Anyone had experience with these switches? Are they all interchangeable?
- Topped up the oil, cleaned the windows, will give the seats and rest of the interior a Lexol-bath tomorrow. Taking out to dinner tonight....oh yeah my daughter is coming too, she hasn't ridden in it yet. :D

Ok that's about it - I am quitting while I am ahead.

Michael,

Same problem with rear wiper. Did your fix stick?

Now YES! But only after I finally bought a new liner for where the plastic piece from the hatch fits into the bottom receiver (the square hole with a round metal piece in it). You probably don't have one at all, I didn't, but how to know when something is not there! But yours is either broken or missing most likely.
You can get them fairly cheap from any of the normal 928 suppliers. Takes a little work to fit it in as it is TIGHT. Might need a rubber hammer etc. Just be careful and don't break it. This will keep your hatch properly lined up.

Mine is still going strong - no issues - except me hitting the wrong button on the console and turning on when I don't mean to..... !

Cool. Do you remember what they call the part?

This post has a pic as well, go to Hooked on Cars or 928srus or 928 international or 928 specialists etc. and look for it there.

It is commonly called a hatch receiver liner. The open part faces the front of the car when you put it in. This will help your hatch line up properly and it made my wiper work as normal after wards. You may have to adjust the rubber bumper at each end of the hatch top to get it to close tightly but without having to slam it each time. You don't want to do that....!

Good Luck!
