If they haven't been removed, there is a metal loop bracket in the left front and another in the right rear of your motor to use. If you don't have them, you can buy them and put them on. I don't have an '85 here, but I can probably get you a photo of the ones in my GT which are about the same as I recall.

You may know, but just in case, the 928 motor is really heavy, so use a hoist capable of at least 1/2 ton and similarly an engine stand.

Or if you are sitting in the car it is the right/pass front and left/drivers rear.

I could not find the drivers rear, not even with both hands, ha ha ha

Mine was missing.
You can buy them or make one.

When I set mine back in, I used the intake bolts but 2 bolts are not enough, you need 4 points.

This photo shows what the back one should look like. I don't think you are going to be able to bolt it on with the motor in the car....

I think the front looks similar on your car, on my GT I think it is a more centralized bracket that looks different.

I was able to use the two points with an engine leveler.

I did too Stan but as far as strength goes, I could not recommend it on the site incase a bolt lets go and someone gets hurt.

Here is a pic of mine, but next time I will use 2 equal length chains

I don't see an engine leveler in that picture, and am pretty sure mine has two chains. More like this

That is exactly what I wanted Stan. I saw one and went back the next day and they were out and on back order. I still dont see that they brought more in so i may have to order it before I pull the engine again. I wish I would have had time this year but the way things are going ILL be luck to get the inside stuff done and the alignment.
