trim and spoiler was created by BMax
Hi everyone,

I was hoping to touch up my spoiler, trim and bumper pads. Likely, it would be best to remove them, paint and then reattach. Any recs on good black paint for the rubber and what's best to use for sealing back on?

Can you just carefully remove the items from the body, or is there a better tool to use?

Thanks very much, in advance!

Bryan

I suspect at one point or another in the life of the spoilers they have been treated with some sort of silicone based treatment or cleaner and I suspect it will be nearly impossible to get paint to stick to them... Not to mention they were not painted from the factory... As to making them look new again, I can't help you there, I have used all sorts of things but none of them last long.

I don't recall who makes it,but in the past I have used a product called "Back to Black". You basically squeeze some onto a rag and wipe it on.Restores the rubber to a nice low gloss smooth finish. The better condition the rubber is in the better but it does a real nice job.

Thanks guys. I'll give the "back to black" a try and see what happens. If I come across any other advice, I'll post it.

I checked on it last night and it is Mother's Back To Black. You should be able to get it at Autozone or any place that carries Mother's products.

I use Mothers Back to Black regularly for my front and rear spoiler pieces and bumpers. It works great.
