Hatch release button?

Take the tool cover off and take a picture for us so that we can see what you see.

My apologies for the delay. I offer no excuses although I have been so buried in the fuel pump bay and fuse panel lately trying to figure out while it wouldn't start. And, I am pleased to say, after about a month of poking and prodding she runs! Yeah!!! Next, it's to get that really nice dash cover attached (thank you again, Brad) and to try to figure out if I have an electric rear hatch release. Curiously, there are wires leading to the release although I understand that there shouldn't be one as it is an '82. Here are the pics:

Hard to tell from the pictures, but maybe the wires you see that you think are for the release are actually for the interior light switch?

Right you are! They are the wires for the interior lights. Mystery solved. Thanks to all who helped.
