What year? Always a chance someone has one from a parts car. You do know the 928 community is full of addicts that have multiple 928s, 928 parts cars, etc., right?

Used maybe from 928srus.com or 928intl.com
If not, then new from either of those or 928gt.com

Hi :)

You dont actually expect it to work if you get the knob do you ??

I do not know a single 928 in the Uk where that hydraulic system actually works and adjusts the lights lol....

All the best Brett :)

Mine did when I got the car.
I thought I maybe bumped a wire when I put the stereo in and ran speaker wire through the box. Still haven't looked. God I'm Lazy:rolleyes:

I believe they were supposed to disable them when they federalize a car in the U.S.

That might help, if someone has one, as they might have changed through the years.

Brett, they actually work on my latest purchase (non-sunroof '87 manual, bought from a guy in Bristol who owned it for 9 years).

You could have knocked me down with a feather.. first 928 I've ever seen the hydraulic adjusters still working on.. and its mine :D

For the OP - there is a factory part that replaces the hydraulic actuator behind the lights and fixes their position. If you give up on repairing the system, you can buy a couple of these and use them to fix the lights in place.

Part number is: 928 631 201 02

They replace the little dumbell and hydraulic actuator behind the headlight, and fix the light in the "up" position so they're not pointing at the ground as they do when the adjuster system fails.

Why not just remove it. Unless you got lucky, that feature was disabled when the car was imported.
