The temperature warning light (tiny red light above the temp gauge) has started coming on regularly on my 81 928. The temperature itself seems completely normal, the coolant level is fine, and it doesn't seem unusually hot, so I'm assuming this is an indication problem. So my questions are, 1) what is this light supposed to be telling me? 2) Any ideas on the likely cause?
In the spirit of the last thing touched might be a factor, we did just do some work on the wiring for the driver's power seat, but it seems crazy to think that might have been related?
