My new-to-me sweet "needs nothing" '81 928 does need something. The black on the window trim is gone on all windows except for the doors. While I've restored a '76 914 and '80 924 Turbo, none of my cars needed window trim renewed. Interesting on how some of the corner pieces remain black, but straight pieces are silver. The trim is in very good condition. I'm a mechanic, not a body guy. So I need advice. Let me know if I need to post pics.
I know the trim can be repainted. If so, what paint should be used?
Would it also be possible to use a vinyl black tape? If so, best type or source? 3M?
