You're right Austin - I was looking at the third picture and missed them peaking thru at the edge

thanks so much for help. my connectors don't look anything like the ones pictured. are those correct? do they stick out far enough to let wood cover hang over fusebox? maybe somebody made the ones on my car. thanks again , john

those clamps don't look anything like mine, maybe someone made them. stan, if you get your car out and the ones shown don't look like this let me know. thanks so much for everyone's help. john

thanks for the picture. i have those clamps but they don,t stick out far enough to cover fuses. any ideas? thanks, john

Maybe the CE panel is not properly seated all the way down as it should be... I can't imagine those hinges changed or that they didn't ever work in the past.
