We have discovered that only black and red 928s exist on Long Island...
Actually El Greco (my friend, fellow 928 owner and mechanic) has a black 86.5.
I'll get him to join up soon.
One sad story, one member called me to let me know he lost his car a month ago (age 25-bough a super low miles car from a family friend); was just in the process of switching from Geico to Hagerty when he lost traction in the slick going from the West Side Highway to the FDR Drive (tunnel) in Manhattan. Totalled it against the wall and got about 1/3 of the real value. 1987 S4.
He thought he wouldn't be able to come without a 928...I told him 1) Anyone is welcome 2) He said the right thing "It was my first Porsche..." to which I replied-"Then it won't be your last and most important, you're fine, it's just a car..."
We had 8 owners with 6 cars. I expect it will drop off next time as y'all have said. Then pick up.
