Phoenix AZ 928 Car Show - November 22nd 8AM - 2PM

Fellow Porsche 928 owner Richard Lang is opening his R-Bookmark book store and is hosting a car show in honor of the grand opening. He has also invited some of his fellow Corvette owners.

I took on the challenge to get twice as many 928s in the show as Corvettes. So, we need your help (and attendance).

How to register: No fee registration, just reply to this message with your name, address and year of Porsche 928(s) you’ll show.

Directions: From the Loop 101 in the west side of Phoenix, exit onto Grand Ave. to the west. Continue on Grand Ave. to 111th Ave, turn left (south). Turn right (west) on Alabama Ave. The book store parking lot is just to the right.

When: Saturday, November 22, 2014, arrive at 8 AM for car placement, show officially ends at 2 PM

Other information:
a) There will be some “easy” judging and awards
b) First 20 to register get a free lunch combo and drink from a restaurant in the shopping center.
c) If you miss the free lunch, those who show their cars will be given a $5.00 lunch offer
d) If you buy a book, there is a two for one special for the first attendees

We've got a good start. Within 10 minutes of the announcement I've got seven 928s registered by only 5 owners ... nice that multiple 928 ownership is helping!

Now up to a dozen 928s registered. It looks like we'll have at least one of each generation.

AWESOME! That is going to be a great 928 turn out!

We had 13 Porsche 928s on display. A good time was had by all. The 928 selection was "book ended" by my 1979 5-speed and 1993 GTS. Emerald who lives in Tucson displayed three of his 928 S4s, two of which tied for the top honors of that class. Dave won awards for both of his Porsche 928s. My 1979 won its first award, top honors for "early" 928s.

The highlight of the event was the recognition of Richard & Deb Lang on behalf of the 928 OC. It was a surprise that made this event even more special for them.
